IM Policy - Evaluation of Instructional Program

The Board believes that the continuous evaluation of the instructional program is a matter of utmost importance. The district's educational offerings, methods, and techniques must serve the needs of today's youth. To help accomplish this, the district shall develop an evaluation program designed to:

l. Assess educational needs and provide information for planning.

2. Indicate instructional strength and weakness.

3. Check the suitability of programs in terms of community needs.

4. Demonstrate the relationships between achievement and the district's stated goals.

5. Provide data for public information.

The Board will rely on the professional staff to provide continuous evaluation of the educational program and instructional program. The Board may participate with the professional staff in the evaluation process.

Outside agencies may be asked, with Board approval, to conduct evaluation.
