Mr. Gary Fralick, from Wyoming Game and Fish, visited with 7th grade science students to discuss the importance of big game habitat. The 7th graders have been studying ecosystems and the characteristics and needs of organisms, and Mr. Fralick’s presentation emphasized the importance of abiotic factors such as snow, elevation, and soil on the biotic factors such as sagebrush, aspen trees, coniferous trees and several big game animals (mule deer, elk, pronghorn, moose, sheep, and grizzly bear)
Mr. Fralick will be back in December to visit with the 8th grade science students about mule deer and moose research in the area.
