The Big Piney Elementary/Big Piney Middle School "Food S.W.A.T" Robotics team competed in Wyoming's FIRST Lego League Championships December 3rd at the Casper Events Center. The team is sponsored by SCSD9, Sublette County 4-H and Shell. Eleven students competed in Robot Design, Core Values, Research and the Robot Game. The team was selected as champions from a field of 59 teams from around the state. Students ages 9-14 can compete in FLL. Team members competing were: Jett Walker, Calder Taylor, Sam Johnson, Addy Bennett, Eduardo Maya, Jakobi Hibbert, Izzy Seemann, Jace Brower, Justin Seemann, Emmanuel Maya and Joseph Hajba. Coaches were Brent and Kristi Hibbert. Research Project Mentor was Dr. John Willford from University of Wyoming. Mr. Grant Seemann served as chaperone and communications mentor.
